Background:

The company is a leading supplier and service provider, offering a range of products and support services for clients of all types. The company operates in Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, South Sudan, Uganda, Mali and United Kingdom and holds several contracts with NGO’s and United Nations in different countries for the supply of general goods and for the provision of catering, cleaning and transport services.

 

Job Purpose

Provide general HR support to the company

 Duties and responsibilities:

Duties include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Providing counseling on policies and procedures
  • Being actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Writ job descriptions for all employees. 
  • Consult with employers to identify needs and preferred qualifications
  • Interview applicants about their experience,
  • Contact references and perform background checks
  • Inform applicants about job details such as benefits and conditions
  • Hire or refer qualified candidates
  • Conduct new employee orientations
  • Process paperwork
  • Plan and coordinate the workforce to best use employees' talents
  • Resolve issues between management and employees
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of specialists and staff
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring process
  • Direct disciplinary procedures

 

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • University Degree in Business  Administration
  • 3 years of experience in HR position
  • Excellent Computer, MS Office skills
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Professionalism: Proven expertise in HR
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Proven effective M&E skills;
  • Planning: Proven ability to establish priorities and to plan, organize, coordinate and monitor own work plan and provide advice and guidance to others;
  • Judgment/Decision-making: Demonstrated sound judgment in resolving issues/problems; ability to proactively seek and recommend sound policy initiatives;
