Description
Agronomist Field Officer plans, implements and monitors the the agriculture programmes in line with the country strategy and under the supervision and guidance of their superior.

Duties and responsibilities:
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Participate in planning, implementing and monitoring ICRC Relief and Agricultural projects and activities in the assigned area.
- Assess the humanitarian situation and needs, particularly in the field of Agriculture.
- Establish and maintain regular coordination with the relevant humanitarian and other actors.
- Coordinate the activities with Sudanese Red Crescent (SRCS) and maintain all the data updated.
- Plan and distribute agricultural seeds and tools; technical familiarity with seeds and tools relevant to the context.
- Familiarity with crop production, seed plantation rate and measurement of seed produce and output, Micro economic / financial assessment and analysis of crop production.
- Contributes to the preparation of assessment and monitoring reports, such as initial needs assessment, Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), Post-Harvest Assessment (PHA), etc., in a timely manner;
- Generate statistical and narrative reports as required.
- Translate from English to Arabic and vice-versa.
- Prepare and participate in field trips and contributes to the Field Trip reports;

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- University degree in Agriculture
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar field.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Good geographical knowledge of the assigned area.
- Previous experience working for NGO or international organization is an asset.
- Computer proficiency, specially in Excel.
