Background:

The Sound Heart is a humanitarian and development organization that focuses on the development of children and their families, particularly, children with special needs.

 Duties and responsibilities:

Specific duties will focus on the following areas: Behavior Analytic Oversight, Administrative Duties, Administrative Oversight, Employee Recruitment, Maintenance, and Discipline, Training/Orientation, Staff Meetings, Billing, Caregiver Services, Event Planning

 

Administrative Duties

  • Complete payroll on a bi-weekly basis
  • Meet weekly with management to discuss company-wide policies and procedures, brainstorm ideas for overall productivity and improvement, and problem solve
  • Coordinate building maintenance needs as needed
  • Create or contribute to the creation of promotional materials
  • Ensure maintenance of employee personnel files
  • Create and maintain budget for centre
  • Oversee purchasing for centre
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings
  • Understand and implement billing processes for all clients

 

Employee Recruitment, Maintenance, and Discipline

  • Conduct interviews with candidates for all vacant positions
  • Make hiring recommendations in collaboration with clinical team; make final hiring decisions when necessary
  • Determine pay rates and pay raises for all positions and communicate appropriately
  • Write and present or oversee 90-day reviews and annual reviews for all employees
  • Write and present or oversee the creation of all employee performance improvement plans

 

Behavior Analytic Oversight

  • Oversee new client intake process
  • Oversee client treatment planning process
  • Oversee caseload assignment, centre expansion, and growth needs and planning
  • Create and present or oversee mew-employee orientation training

 

Caregiver Services

  • Communicate centre-wide policies and policy changes to parents/caregivers
  • Act as point-of-contact for parents/caregivers for concerns, questions, or ideas
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Clinic Director must demonstrate professionalism while interacting with clients, parents/caregivers, visitors, management, and other staff at all times.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Active certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a clinical supervisor capacity
  • Demonstration of excellent behavior analytic clinical skills
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with employees, parents/caregivers, and other professionals
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
