Description
We are currently looking for high talented, well experience and motivated staff of Sudanese national to join Program to pursue a challenging position that makes a difference in the lives of their own citizens.

Duties and responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The purpose of the post is to provide timely well analyzed information and communicate it to all concern to support program implementation and follow up
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a communication strategy and an action plan targeting various audiences of the project in collaboration with the project team
- Production of photo- short video- and possibly audio material
- Design of visibility material (e.g. banners, posters, rollups, shirts and others)
- Linking up with local media and production of relevant press releases
- Events planning and management with regards to visibility
- Monitor news on the media and communication activities of implementing partners and provide weekly media reports.
- Draft press release, fact sheets, speeches and written material to be published.
- Provide concepts for campaign-related to stabilization and project themes.
- Design leaflets and digital material for media and social media.
- Document project activities by maintaining records, monitoring and compilation of monthly reports.
- As part of a team, assess, plan and support implement emergency responses in field especially in the emergency sector and following the cluster approach
- Support the organizations to enhance their capacity in information and communication
- Support the documentation of processes, gathering case studies etc so that SHPDO can capture and disseminate learning to a wider audience
- Provide ideas, data and support to the Director General to develop and execute advocacy plans in consultation with the program Manager
- Manage the SHPDO media website and posting information on Facebook
- Carry out other duties reasonably assigned by the DG.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Person's Specification
- University degree higher qualification at recognized institute in Communication/ or related field.
- More than two years relevant working experience in humanitarian settings and IDP support projects as communication officer.
- Demonstrated excellent Communication, writing and evaluation skills
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to transfer skills through formal capacity building and on the job coaching
- Experience working in partnership with local media organizations
- Sound computer skills in Microsoft word and excel
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to live and work in remote, harsh and challenging situations
- Experience working in both emergency and development contexts
- Experience working in insecure environments
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with a range of stakeholders a team player.
- Ability to speak Arabic, English and write reports.
-Strong background and understanding of both conceptual and technical knowledge of communication and media business
Knowledge of different working standards and ethics including sphere.
