Job Description

 Basic Function and Scope:

Maintain electrical equipment’s in preventive or breakdown.

 Accountabilities:

 Inspects equipment on a daily basis and carries out maintenance, repair, measurements of electrical equipment’s and

to deal with measurement devices such as AVO meter, Megger ,H.V tester, etc. in accordance with company

standards, codes and practices.

 Inspects equipment and carries out maintenance as bellow:-

 LV Distribution cabinet (MDB).

 VSD – Variable speed driver + ESP.

 Motors + Step up & down Transformers + Earth.

 Indoor & outdoor lights + Air condition.

 Power plant (Hi – voltage switchgear + alternator) + LV PMCC.

 UPS (Uninterruptable power supply).

 Heat tracing.

 VSD + MCB + MCCB.

 Repair, measurements of electrical equipment and to deal with measurement devices such as AVO meter, MEGGER,

H.V tester, etc. in accordance with company standards, codes and practices.

 Participates in conjunction with the maintenance group to maintain the integrity the 11KV underground cables,

overhead transmission lines ring main unit (RMU) or any major repairs.

 Performs preventive and break down maintenance of all electrical equipments to ensure proper operation and

minimize downtime. Includes carrying out functional tests in accordance with maintenance procedures.

 Participates with operations group in troubleshooting electrical problems when receiving WR or arranged by team

leader.

 Maintains accurate maintenance records for all various equipment within the area of responsibility. Provides

information in order to update and ensure proper historical records of all maintenance activities.

 Maintains sufficient stock of spare parts and consumables to ensure an efficient maintenance of the various

electrical/equipment. Reviews reorder levels constantly based on past consumption and recommends replenishment

accordingly.

 Carries out other similar or related duties such as comparing maintenance cost against forecasted budgets, observing

safety rules and regulations, ensuring proper handover procedures at end of shift and highlighting any abnormalities

encountered during a shift, providing technical training to assigned trainees as required, etc.

 Minimum Requirements:

 BSc or Diploma in Engineering discipline or equivalent from recognized university.

 Computer literacy.

 Good communication and competency in English language.

 Driving License preferred
