As an ESOP Consultant in our Stock Services Consulting area, you’ll partner with our Relationship Managers and Client Service Associates for existing ESOP administration clients.

  • Address strategic issues and identify consulting opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships to retain assigned clients.
  • Consult on technical plan design and compliance related questions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required
  • 9+ years of retirement, ERISA, or employee benefit related experience.
  • Technical, statutory and regulatory knowledge of qualified and non-qualified plans.
  • Banking, attorney, accounting or consulting experience preferred.
  • Must be assertive and ambitious.
  • Excellent planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, presentation, listening, and oral and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and decision-making skills.
  • Travel required (up to 30%), including overnight stays.

Preferred:

  • ESOP experience and in-depth ESOP technical knowledge and skills.
  • ASPPA (or similar) designation(s) strongly recommended and preferred.
  • Knowledge of Principal’s Total Retirement Suite of products and services.
