If yes, this opportunity is for you. At WFP, we are looking for Heads of Field offices for our offices in Kutum and Kabkabiya in Sudan to be hired on a Fixed-Term contract at the NOB level. WFP Sudan, one of the largest and complex operations for WFP globally, is currently rolling out its five-year Country Strategic Plan (2019-2023), which aims to provide emergency assistance through a hybrid approach (Cash, food and vouchers), along with life-changing types of programmes (Nutrition, Resilience and School Feeding). JOB PURPOSE:The Head of Field Office with delegated authority plans and manages field operations to ensure the effective and efficient deployment of food assistance programmes and use of allocated resources. The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Head of Area Office and is responsible for the following: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Not All-Inclusive)
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience: Advanced University degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences or other fields relevant to international development assistance, with three years of related work experience, or a First University degree with five years of related work experience. Relevant training/courses will be added advantage Language: Fluency in English and Arabic.
