 Background:

The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) seeks a Program Officer to join its Sudan office team and contribute to the planning, designing and implementation of programs.

 Duties and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the country director, the program officer will be responsible off the following tasks

Responsibilities: 

  •  Provide all administrative support in an effective manner to ensure timely delivery of program activities, assessments, results, and reports
  • Supports vision and many aspects of programs, programmatic and administrative needs
  • Assists in the implementation of activities (conferences, workshops, and meetings)
  • Assists on providing and produces digital content for the social media platforms (articles, images, audio/video support) and other communication
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in International Relations ; information, communications or related subject;
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in international development, community organizing, political campaigns, organizational development or legislative affairs
  • Excellent oral communications skills to effectively present information, respond to questions
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic required
  • Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Excellent Working knowledge of PC-based word to follow up on digital communications and activities.
  • Experience with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive, G+, etc.) strongly desired
