Job Summary:

You will help coordinate and support the execution of the Country Program (CP) F2F HR strategy and operational plans in support of high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable. You will provide responsive, high quality service to address HR programs, services and operations needs in all or some of the areas of recruitment, project staff development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, onboarding/orientation, policies, staff care, and employee administration. You will also provide specialized support and assistance for delivering all aspects of recruiting success for Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) volunteer placements to the Sudan F2F country program.  Identifies and seeks solutions for routine operational problems, using standard sources of information.

 Duties and responsibilities:
  • Recruit local volunteers and identify pairings with international (US-based) volunteers in collaboration with the HQ-based Operations Specialist (Recruiter).
  • Manage volunteer on-boarding, process per diems payment and volunteer paperwork, conduct interviews, check references, conduct Bridger checks.
  • Identify and represent the project at networking and outreach events and build and maintain a pipeline of talented professionals and promote Farmer-to-Farmer’s brand to target potential new volunteers.
  • Respond to and resolve elevated issues arising from daily recruitment and logistical activities; carry out day-to-day problem solving as necessary on day-to-day program-related needs and issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of requests and actions, and professional and prompt responses to queries.
  • Provide support to the Head of Operations in his/her responsibilities with regard to the overall management of HR programs and services in the project.
  • Help coordinate and support HR processes, activities, and service delivery, to ensure they meet latest agency, donor, and local legal requirements and standards and reflect best practices.
  • Assess service needs and provide quality process services and advice to support managers in their daily staff management responsibilities.
  • Collect and organize input on HR processes and policies and participate in the review and updating of various systems, manuals, guidelines, and tools.
  • Maintain record keeping through personnel files and/or Insight that adheres to required CRS, donor, and local law regulations. As needed provide support on analytical reports on HR-related data, metrics and trends to support decision-making, workforce planning and development.
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in HR, preferably with an International or local NGO and good knowledge of HR best practices and standards.
  • Experience with and knowledge of employment laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts, and practices. Good understanding of the local labor law.

Required Languages - Proficiency in English and Arabic is required to perform the job

 

Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 5% of the time in-country

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, HRIS.
