Description
SOSi is currently seeking an IT Manager responsible for the provision of WiFi internet and cable TV service to a customer in Juba, South Sudan. As an IT Manager, he/she will be responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, and management of the systems required for these services.
- Supervise a small team of IT specialists, technicians, and a third party vendor
- Monitor and track network performance and usage
- Manage, maintain, configure, repair, and replace network equipment
- Prepare reports
- Respond to outages 24/7
- Coordinate service order response
- Register and track users
- Enforce network usage policies
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering or Electronic Engineering
- Five years of experience in telecommunications, satellite TV operations, internet and Wi-Fi networks, office equipment, and general electronics, installation, maintenance and repair
- Two years of experience supervising other IT personnel within the last five years
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required
- Living and working conditions are in established facilities in an urban environment
- May include long hours, exposure to weather and potentially hazardous conditions
- Personnel should be aware of potential requirement to move on short notice and under adverse conditions
