Background:
The objective of the Better Migration Management (BMM) program is to improve the human-rights based management of safe, orderly and regular migration and to support competent national authorities addressing the trafficking in human beings and the smuggling of migrants within and from the Horn of Africa region. The project is commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is co-funded by the European Union for the duration from October 2022 to September 2025. The project is implemented by a partnership of British Council, Civipol, IOM, UNODC, and the lead organization GIZ. The target countries in the Horn of Africa are Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, and Uganda. The program in Sudan is seeking to fill the position of national Program Intern to assist the technical aspect of the programme with specific focus on the protection component (C3 (addressing access to information, access to protection services, and durable solutions. The candidate is expected to provide technical assistance while getting acquainted with the other BMM technical components and develop their capacities through the internship. |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
You are a fresh graduate of law, political science, social science or development science or any related field. - You are enthusiastic about the field of migration, protection and provision of services, gender (e.g. Health, Legal), - You have strong Organizational skills. - Ability to work in a team and enjoy working in a team. - Ready to travel outside Khartoum. - Initiative, flexibility, ability and willingness to work independently - Business fluent in both Arabic and English.
