 Background:

As the People and Culture manager, you will be responsible for scaling 249Startups team, building a culture that will attract top talent, and supporting the organization through several major milestones. You’ll partner closely with our management team to map organizational growth and set & implement talent plans. You’ll also be the official people partner to our executive team and provide 1:1 coaching as well as the sourcing of external resources to develop the team’s leadership capacity. Your day-to-day will include optimizing for growth through hiring and people development while also minimizing risks related to turnover and compliance

Working in a complex environment and a fast-growing organization, the People and Culture Manager is responsible for providing high quality human resources services that serve both both 249Startups and its startups/entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate has a passion for supporting others and cares deeply about fostering an inclusive environment that allows all to bring their best selves to workplace

 Duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement 249Startups workplaces culture and stakeholders’ engagement strategies.
  • Build a culture of performance across the organization with oversight and continued development framework.
  • Support and advise the Executive Team on organizational change management, providing advice and support to the wider organization.
  • Contribute to the development of a robust culture through role modelling 249STARTUPS values and the behaviors which drives this culture.
  • Grow 249Startups team by playing a leading role in identifying needs, sourcing, onboarding top talent, and building the long-term People & Talent roadmap that will help 249Startups meet its strategic business goals.
  • Partner with the organization leaders to make necessary structural changes, and map 249Startups’s growth.
  • Oversee and develop 249Startups internal strategic HR function
  • Develop and manage different people categories support services (employees, service providers, business advisors, trainers, coaches, mentors …etc).
  • Ensure a clear Employee Value Proposition in support of candidate attraction
  • Develop and manage formal induction, people management services, succession planning and all other similar functions process and procedures.
  • Be a point of contact for all employee inquiries and be responsible for escalating and investigating inquiries when needed.
  • Creating Employee Experience: Ensure an optimal experience at every touchpoint in the life cycle.
  • Understand, identify, and establish an in-house startup supports services as needed and provide tools to access the different needed expertise and develop HR support services that address their needs and provide them and all their targeted initiatives with strategic advice to ongoing operations and expected decisions.

  • The People and Culture Manager assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the MD.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Start-up / Tech Industry / Financial Services experience
  • Experience in working with international team
  • Experience in recruitment.
  • Working knowledge of local employment law and HR Practices
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Minimum 4 years of recruitment experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in HR generalist/partner role
  • Ability to Inspire & Empower team
