SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Manager will be responsible for planning, directing and implementing the Large Project Management Plan for the construction and operation of the generation growth projects.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
- Manage project time line to completion of project in a safe and environmentally conscious manner
- Responsible for project construction, initiating permit process, developing work packages, organizing materials, directing construction crews
- Must manage costs and schedules, coordinate equipment, contract resources, performance testing and contract negotiation
- Provide Status reports for Internal and External Stakeholders
- Comply with all local, state and environmental requirements
- Create, maintain and retain all required documents using Brightworks
- Required to submit all applications necessary for generation interconnections and also provided documentation to apply and register within the Southwest Power Pool (SPP)
- Responsible for directing, leading and driving the project including scheduling, coordination and implementation
- Responsible for tracking costs, and remaining within budgets and timelines
- Position interfaces with engineers, environmental groups, management, drafting, and contract resources
- Most job time spent in the field and exposure to all field hazards. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Travel including overnights may be required up to 50%
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Applicants must have a four year engineering degree, project management degree or construction management degree
- Possess a PE or ability to obtain a PE preferred
- Experience in generation and project management preferred
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and other computer applications
- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
- Applicants must have a four year engineering, construction/project management degree
- Project management experience/skills and broad general business experience
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Initiative, ability to work independently without close supervision and confer with supervisors on unusual circumstances
- Ability and flexibility to handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of industry such as SPP, NERC, FERC, EPA, Title V air permitting, Construction practices
- Good technical background
- Good customer service skills
