 Background:
The role is responsible to work along with management in regular security operations and ensure security controls deployed at respective departments in accordance with aviation security (AVSEC) and access control as per organizational concerns. Furthermore, the role requires to assist team with security and access control at relevant facilities & buildings and client airlines at airport across station.
 Duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure security operations, services and trainings in accordance to DGCA, national civil aviation security program (NCASP), client airlines requirements, departmental SOP and station aviation security standards & regulations.
  • Responsible for assigning and scheduling duties for all team members along, monitor staff duty performance and ensure timely security briefings for all new security requirements.
  • Monitor CCTV/control room operations, inspect operational areas to prevent any unlawful activities or security breach, including prevention of tampering of screened articles/items.
  • Responsible for preparation of daily and monthly services provided to client airlines and submit financial details on monthly basis.
  • Conduct serviceability checks on security equipment and report if any equipment failure to contracted outsource maintenance.
  • Access control: Ensure screening of all persons, including staff, prior to allowing access into screening controlled or operational areas of NAS or its clients.
  • Ensure to coordinate with ministry of interior MOI for daily export security screening.
  • Report to superior and operation control center (OCC) any issues or irregularities that may affect the safety, security or timeliness of operations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by line manager.
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of security experience and specialized training with 4-6 years of prior progressive, law enforcement, or military and aviation security management/supervisory experience
  • Knowledge in radio communication, profiling, safety and emergency procedures.
  • AVSEC Certificate or other relevant security certification will be added advantage.
  • Ability to manage, supervise emergencies, crisis situations and other stressful incidents.
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing operational standards
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills and timely decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and local language as indicated.
