Background:

The International Republican Institute (IRI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, organization dedicated to advancing freedom and democracy worldwide. Since 1983, IRI has worked to develop democratic institutions and ideals, carrying out a variety of international programs to promote freedom, self- government and the rule of law worldwide. IRI provides technical assistance in the areas of political party strengthening, developing civic institutions and open elections, promoting democratic governance and advancing the rule of law.

IRI will assist Sudanese CSO’s to implement robust citizen engagement, advocacy and dialogue initiatives as the government undergoes transitional reform processes, including supporting campaigns and activities tailored to reach diverse segments of Sudanese, specifically targeting youth, women, and other marginalized groups. To reinforce the responsibilities of citizens throughout the transitional process, IRI will also support Sudanese CSOs in their efforts to inform citizens on the role they can and should play in a participatory democracy.

This solicitation calls on the expertise of trainers on several topics related to CSO development and their engagement in the political transition. IRI requests that trainers only apply to train on topics where they have extensive experience.

 

 

Period of Performance:

Date of Signature – December 31, 2022 with an option to extend for three (3) years in one-year increments

 Duties and responsibilities:

Statement of Work:

Bidder may serve as a trainer, facilitator, or consultant on various programming activities and events. In that capacity, the bidder may be responsible for the following scope of work:

  • Develop agenda and training topic in consultation with IRI.
  • Record training modules for distribution.
  • Plan and execute training activity.
  • Collect virtual or signed participant attendance sheets
  • Draft and submit activity report for each training activity inclusive of at least one photo
  • Submit invoice on work conducted within 10 days following the conclusion of each activity. Invoice should include a confirmation of deliverables, attendance sheet(s) and activity report(s).
