 Background:

The project  Employment Initiative Khartoum“seeks to improve the job prospects of refugees and the local population in the capital of Sudan. As an advisor for entrepreneurship promotion and small business development, you work in a team of international and national staff to improve the establishment and growth of entrepreneurial initiatives and the development of small businesses. By supporting the establishment of small businesses, identifying and fostering innovative entrepreneurship ideas you contribute to providing prospects for a prosperous future to young people in Khartoum

 Duties and responsibilities:
  1. Responsibilities
  • Building up capacities of VT institutions for IT-based vocational training

 

In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:

 

  1. Tasks
  • Supporting project planning and the conceptual development of IT-based vocational training, including preparation, organisation, implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation, communication and documentation of measures for digital tools in vocational training;
  • Developing innovative initiatives and technical concepts, including guidelines, manuals and procedures;
  • Analysing lessons learnt and compiling best practices for digitalization of vocational training;
  • Drafting reports, articles and other written documents in English and Arabic;
  • Networking with other projects on digital solutions for vocational education.
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Diploma in IT-relevant fields (B.A. or Master) with further studies inbusiness economics, education or vocational education, or development studies
  • Extensive knowledge of vocational training in Sudan
  • Profound experience in digitalization of education
  • Experience in working within international teams;
  • Experience in gender equality and women’s empowerment
  • Working experience with refugees/IDPs would be an asset
  • Excellent English and Arabic communication skills, both verbal and in writing
