Background:
The WASH officer is responsible to implement CARE’s WASH activities in South Darfur (Nyala locality) which includes participate in ongoing WASH assessments including identifying areas that need new water points or rehabilitation, coordinate and supervise WASH projects in the field, conduct water quality analysis, participate in coordination meetings at locality levels, train and coach community/refugee water user committees, mobilize communities to raise funds and participate in designing water supply projects and work closely with SWC, WES and HAC at the locality level. S/he will coordinate with community/refugee members, local partners, other humanitarian actors and different government offices to identify and support the WASH needs and avoid duplication. The water technician will organize regular review meetings with stakeholders in the areas to assess the progress of activities and incorporate lessons learnt for further improvement. |
