Main Purpose of Job:
Under the direct supervision of the Environmental Health Coordinator, the Environmental Health Manager will provide leadership and oversight in the implementation of emergency response interventions that include water supply, sanitation, access, hygiene promotion and Risk communication and community engagement in Blue Nile and any other targeted IRC program locations in East Sudan. This will include supervision and mentorship of all EH field staff including coordination and external representation of the IRC at all forums at Damazine level.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering or Water Engineering or Environmental Engineering Degree and experience in implementing water, sanitation, and hygiene promotion. Additional experience in implementing water, sanitation, hygiene promotion and waste management activities in health care settings for highly infectious diseases including knowledge of infection control and prevention will be an added advantage.
