Duties and responsibilities:
Key areas of responsibility. Support DPO organisational capacity assessment and planning Identify DPOs’ organisational capacity building needs and develop shared capacity building plans:
Ensure the delivery of a ‘package’ of capacity building support to each DPO partner Based on the CB plans agreed with DPOs, deliver specific CB inputs, and ensure delivery of capacity building support by all relevant ADD International team members: Technical support, - direct delivery of training and information on identified capacity topics/ source and manage external technical support where needed/ ensure that other ADD staff deliver training and information on specific issues e.g. MEL/ financial management/ gender etc. Accompaniment – ensure that relevant ADD staff support DPOs to ‘learn by doing’ by providing advice and coaching at key points throughout the project cycle Strategic inputs – in collaboration with Finance staff, ensure that agreed strategic funding to cover core costs such as rent, transport, meeting and staff costs are provided on schedule, and spent appropriately Brokering links – ensure that ADD staff support DPOs to make strategic external links at every stage of the capacity building process, e.g. with local authorities, policymakers, other CSOs and INGOs, etc. Contribute to building the capacity of ADD’s teams to be effective capacity builders.
