Description
Under the direct supervision of the General Director and working in close collaboration with members of both management support and technical teams, the overall function of this position will be contribute to the delivery and management of SHPDO ND State programme. The area Coordinator will have significant responsibility for all projects consistent with SHPDO management systems and procedures. The position will require regular travel to various parts of ND State and may other locations Concern the SHPDO Activities.

Duties and responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General support
- Assist the Director General in all areas pertaining the North Darfur State programme.
- As delegated by the Director General from time to time, ensure effective and efficient management of programme activities consistent with grant application, budget, timelines and donor requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive implementation of systems and procedures related to finance, logistics and internal organisational procedures and processes.
- Prepare high quality reports in line with SHPDO internal requirements and donor regulations.
- Monitor the evolving humanitarian situation in the operational area and consider and recommend to the Regional manger appropriate strategic and immediate responses.
- Conduct Needs Assessment and Data Analysis & proposal Writing.
- Weekly & monthly progress report & Quarter Report
- Doing monitoring & Evaluation
- Proposal Writing for all ND State program
Specific Responsibilities.
HAC Liaison
Through the Liaison, ensure the following:
- Representative of SHPDO North Darfur Filed Office.
- Attending Official HAC meetings and State Government Agencies including line ministries Signing MoUs.
- The ND State project team has all relevant travel permits to travel from Elfashir to other parts of ND STATE States, where applicable.
- Acquisition of all required HAC and GoS documentations for item and non-medical supplies being sent to project sites in different locations.
- Liaison with logistics to coordinate shipment of monthly construction and non medical supplies.
Safety
- Participate in routine monitoring of the safety situation within the project areas and communicate updates to the Director General swiftly.
- Contribute to ensuring strict implementation and monitoring of SHPDO safety and security guidelines and protocols.
- Prepare daily situational reports on safety and security in all SHPDO project sites.
- Provide regular safety briefing to all national staff members.
- Liaise with the Program Unit & Director General to gather and share information with partners (local authorities, NGOs, UN ageneses, etc.) to ensure the safety of SHPDO staff and equipment at various field sites.
- Keep using Confidentiality of SHPDO Information.
Representation
- Upon the direction of the General Director, attend relevant coordination meetings
- Represent SHPDO whenever based on directions from Director General
- Conduct needs assessment mission, Data Analyses & Proposal Writing
- Manage all SHPDO activities doing monitoring & Evaluation everywhere and report progress reports (weekly, monthly, Quarterly) to the general director
- Attending coordination meetings of Government line ministries NGOs, INGO, UN agencies.
- Conduct Action planning for SHPDO projects
- Monthly Clarence Report Submission to SHPDO HQ (Fund Raising & Program Manager.
Reporting & proposal
- Prepare monthly programme report covering administration, finance, human resource, logistics, HAC liaison, safety and representation in consultation and Advices with Program Unit in ND STATE.
- Writing proposal to SHPDO partner with professional and good vision

- University Degree, BSc &Diploma
- Previous experience within a humanitarian aid organization, preferably in fragile context or tough environment.
- Previous experience of project management and administration (7 years and above)
- High ability to writing proposal
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and oral)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure and maintain professionalism
- Good computer knowledge, specifically Microsoft Office programs (emphasis Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural environment and to work well with the local authorities.
- Ability to remain calm and to be diplomatic.
- Good team player.
Good understanding of east Sudan, particularly the North Darfur State context
