SUMMARY:
Our Client is a group of companies based in South Sudan looking to hire for positions in their subsidiary companies. The role will be based in South Sudan
JOB PURPOSE:
The core responsibility for the position is to manage and supervise the day to day operations of fuel stocks storage, handling and distribution, People and Safety awareness and processes
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinating depot operations all the time to ensure efficient, effective and safe management of the depot
- Managing depot staff, accountable to the coordination of health, safety and environmental activities (HSSE) aiming at incident free working environment
- Accountable for depot stocks, siding, receipts storage and issues of fuels by investigating any storage losses above the minimum required (acceptable/unavoidable) loss rate
- Coordinating of all depot activities relating to equipment and maintenance and making sure preventative and breakdown maintenance activities are done timely and in a cost effective manner
- Coordinating and participating in monthly depot emergency response drills
- Coordinating the training of all depot staff members and ensuring the development of a highly skilled team
- Enforcing safety procedures among staff members and ensure that safety security inductions of all visitors are carried out before being allowed access into the depot
- Conducting work planned observations and spot checks on depot housekeeping, stocks, equipment and registers and staff compliance on standard operating procedures
- Managing all contractors and ensuring quality work is done at all times
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree level or Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management or relevant field from a recognized institution
- Three to five years’ experience in petroleum depot operations
