Description

Background:

To provide a high quality protection, prevention system, health, Safety and Hygiene within the Company to ensure implemented of systems in order to maintains, people, safe operation & production to achieve company target.

 Duties and responsibilities:
  • Manage the effective achievement of Health & safety objectives through the leadership of the department– setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Health & safety section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
  • Recommend improvements to policy and direct the implementation of instructions covering all areas of OHSAS 18001 activity, & 14000 environment so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of Health & safety to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.

  • Ensures all new employees, contractors, non-Company personnel operating & visitors on the refinery site are aware and observe safety requirements.
  • Ensures all capital projects, plant and operating procedural modifications confirm with fire project, maintenance, health and Safety requirements.
  • Ensures good hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all plant area.
  • Handle all Health, safety & firefighting training, safety talk & evacuation drills.
  • Provide high quality & good information with all health & safety through booklet, broacher, Emails, clips & posters.
  • Ensure that all activities are monitored and regulatory compliance audits and inspections are conducted for an effective implementation of regulatory standards.
  • Monitors and advises in coordination with all Departments on the Company’s Compliance with the Saudi Arabian Labor and Workmen Law and any other relevant legislation and safety policies.
  • Supervise the implementation of projects to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objectives. And to identify and organize the replacement of any safety set up when become damage or absolute.
  • Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably industrial or relevant field.
  • Language: English & Arabic.
  • Experience: 6 – 9 years’ relevant experience.
