What do we offer?
A traineeship of (maximum 6 months) within the Political, Press and Communication Section of the EU Delegation to
Sudan
Main tasks:
 Produce a political research
 Organize public diplomacy meetings and activities
 Enhance connections with universities and academic research centers in Sudan
 Contribute to press and communication activities and material

Eligibility criteria
1. Paid traineeship for young graduates with less than one year of professional experience:
 citizens of the host country, nationals from the EU Member States or pre-accession States
 young graduates with at least a Bachelor Diploma (or equivalent)
 maximum one year of professional experience
 no previous experience of more than six weeks in the EU Institutions
Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. However costs related to travel,
insurance, accommodation and visa must be borne by the trainee.
Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered.
After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview.
Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required
documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, insurance, accommodation and living expenses must be
borne by either the trainee or the University.

The interested applicants can apply until Friday 2nd November 2018 at 04:00 PM (Sudan Local Time)
Duration of the traineeship
The usual duration of a traineeship is of minimum 6 months.
Extensions
Before submitting any extension request in e-del-HRM, the Delegation should ensure that a trainee can provide
sickness/accident insurance valid for the extended period. The agreement form with new dates needs to be updated
as well. Without correct documents, the extension will not be accepted. In exceptional cases the duration may exceed
six months, if necessary within the studies framework but only upon the University's request.
End of traineeship
At the end of their traineeship period, trainees should complete a report detailing the work that they have carried out
during their traineeship and their assessment of their experience.
An evaluation report shall also be drawn up by the Traineeship Adviser. Both reports should be archived by the HoA
and send to EEAS HQ.
The premature end of the traineeship shall be agreed by both parties. If requested, Delegations may provide a
certificate to the trainee. It must be clear that such a certificate will not produce any legal consequences or liability for
the Delegation
