About International Medical Corps (IMC):-

International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and reliving suffering though health care training and relief and development programs.

 

Scope of work:-

International Medical Corps (IMC) is looking for qualified Sudanese Medical Warehouse Officer to work under the supervision and guidance of the Logistic Officer.

 Duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure storage, classification and organization of drugs and material according to IMC and International standards and protocols
  • Apply hygiene and security procedures: clean storage room, control pest and rodents
  • Make sure that temperature, humidity, light exposition are in accordance with products in the pharmacy especially ensure cold chain functioning and maintenance and ensure storage conditions according to national and international regulations
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of the in and outs through stock cards, bin cards, approved requests etc.
  • Makes sure safety items are available in the warehouse in case of emergency ( fire extinguisher, medical kits, …)

B-Stock management:

  • Ensure efficient management of the stock (limited waste and time-period out of stock)
  • Follow-up movements of drugs and material (entry, exit, destinations)
  • Keep track and inventory of all stock going through IMC Nertiti pharmacy using IMC tracking and inventory procedures
  • Follow-up expired drugs and destroyed material, quantification and their destruction
  • Carry out regular physical inventories in accordance with mission’s procedures (at least one before each order)
  • Ensure the operationally/follow-up of emergency boxes and medical kits
  • Should be able to anticipate any stock rupture and inform his/her supervisor before it happens
  • Prepare and submit monthly stock status summary report including consumption/balance /expired and damaged stock etc.
  • Ensure IMC policy and procedure are respected in receiving and donating drugs from or to other partners
  • Analyses the consumption of stored items and is able to issue a monthly order based on this consumption.
  • Be able to answers questions regarding procedures and resolves/ justify discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries and stock records.
  • Keep up to date records of all drugs, medical supplies and equipments on stock and in the clinics.

C- Order reception:

  • In collaboration with logistic department, ensure the good course of the drug order reception and its storage
  • Check the adequacy between orders and reception and quantify the damaged/ missing drugs and material and report it immediately.
  • As per the donation procedure, is responsible for the tracking and proper documentation of the donated items in his warehouse and the in/out flow of these donated items from/to his/her warehouse.

D- Supply to other pharmacies:

  • Ensure an efficient supply of other pharmacies (managed or supported by IMC) with continuity, in keeping track, and in accordance with supply procedures
  • Responsible for preparing medicines for distribution and loading to clinic according to supervisor reports.
  • Participate to the supervision of clinic staff and storage facilities
  • Monitor, analyze orders from the clinics and pass information to the hierarchic referent.

E- Orders:

  • Provide accurate data (entry-exit), inventories and consumption follow-up database to facilitate efficient drugs and material orders
  • Based on these data, make relevant assumptions on drugs and material consumption of the different health structures supported by IMC on the field.

F- Other:

  • Participate in the development of the plan of action
  • Report immediately to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines
  • Accomplish other tasks upon request

 

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Diploma in Pharmacy or nursing or related field
  •  2 years’ Experience in dispensary in the pharmacy in the INGO
  •  Good computer skill especially with Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel
  •  Strong teamwork and team spirit
  •  Good management capacity, training capacity, and coordination and communication skills
  •  Have Excellent leadership skills
  •  Ability to work in remote areas and travel by local transport (donkey).
  • Speaks English fluently.
  • Good communicator in local languages.
