 Background:

Provides support to peace and stability project in south Darfur, manages information and support reporting process and products to ensure professional and high quality communications on Activities and results. Also it plays an important role in improving information management and data quality and strengthening knowledge sharing and learning, it assumes responsibilities of full sycle-monitoring accountability and learning and evaluation activities of the project. supports in data collection analysis and reporting review program Indicator and track the outcome and impact achieved makes sure the project objectives well tracked based on the donors requirements and donors.

 

 

 Duties and responsibilities:
  • Prepare/develop M&E plan in collaboration with the PM and MEAL Coordinator;
  • Provide inputs into CARE’s MEAL workbook;
  • Provide support to the Program team and implementing NNGO partners on ways to improve M&E related components and activities.
  • Ensure appropriate data and information are compiled and documented at different levels
  • Support in setting up a data collection system and data collection tools, as needed (quantitative and qualitative), to ensure all monitoring and reporting requirements are met, including field monitoring.
  • In collaboration with sectors technical staff support reports compilation and submission to Program Manager
  • Alert community and project partners to be involved in the design and implementation of the M&E plans.
  • Lead accountability and gender mainstreaming efforts in collaboration with PDQ team
  • Support in organizing and coordination of evaluation missions to project areas
  • Provide M&E support to EVC and Sawtaha Projects in East and South Darfur
  • Support in the development and implementation of quality assurance and monitoring systems which promote effective and innovative ways of conducting monitoring within the requirements of the context (including, if needed, remote/third party monitoring).
  • Support in measuring results and impact of project’s activities and processes to produce evidence-based reports and success stories.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and assist the Project Manager in developing a follow-up system to provide assurance that all audit recommendations relating to M&E are complied with, including by implementing partners.
  • Support the implementation of project related technical and program activities in collaboration with the Engagement Officer and project partners
  • Support in organizing and delivering M&E trainings and share information with Project staff to ensure timely and quality of the project delivery.
  • Conduct frequent field visits to ensure information data across all sectors are timely collected, analyzed and reported.
  • Support in promoting and creating learning opportunities for the Project to share its good practices and lessons
  • Disseminate information extracted from all available project/ programs M&E systems.
  • Support in identifying and formulating evaluation findings and studies/research, lessons learned and recommendations to be integrated into broader knowledge management efforts
  • Take part in designing and implementing capacity building activities related to the project including M&E, Learning and knowledge management trainings

 

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Economics, Statistics, Agriculture or related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in implementing M&E systems.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact clearly and effectively with donors and other organizations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Ready to acquire new skills and to learn.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proactive in  Problem solving
  • Highly organized, close attention to detail, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fluid environment
  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (written, spoken)
  • Computer skills and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. are essential
  • Team-working skills; ability to communicate effectively in internal and external settings and provide leadership in team efforts and build effective relations remotely
  • Be able to communicate effectively across CARE Sudan’s management structures.
  • Ability to work with people of various cultures
  • Strong in networking, representation and building relations
