 Background:
•Quality& Safety Manager is responsible to ensure that NASPORT service is fit for its purpose and meets customers’ expectations and co-ordinates the activities required meeting this aim.
• Quality & Safety Manager monitors and advises on how the systems of Quality Assurance, Environmental & Occupational Health Management are performing and publishes data and reports to GM regarding company performance against set indicators.
•Quality & Safety Manager liaises with Managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the Integrated Management System is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the Quality & Safety Manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve the best performance.
Assist and coordinate with General Manager to promote safety awareness, provide guidance and direction for the operation of organization’s Safety Management System.

 

 Duties and responsibilities:

Maintain and apply current policies, regulations, and industrial processes, conduct site safety inspection audits and airside performance audits.

•           Assess risks on site and make recommendations to responsible personnel to ensure all risks are managed or eliminated.

•           Investigation of occurrences (accidents/incidents/near miss), determine root causes, contributing factors and recommendations to prevent recurrence and follow up implementation of recommendations & their effectiveness.

•           Production of Analytical information (statistical data of Safety performance), prepare and review the safety objectives and targets on yearly basis.

•           Brings to the attention of the General Manager any reported discrepancy not being adequately attended to by the relevant person or in respect of any disagreement over the nature of the discrepancy.

•           Establish and maintain the Emergency procedures for NASPORT buildings monitor and update the safety equipment, Fire extinguishers, Fire Pumps and Fire Alarm panel.

•           Complete and maintain all necessary Safety documents, records, and reports required.

•           Conduct in house potable water test and maintain the record of portable water quality checks and external laboratory result.

•           Responsible to comply with the applicable laws, regulations and procedures of NASPORT and customer airlines.

•           Responsible for exercising due diligence towards Health & Safety of self & others in the organization and also environmental protection.

•           Responsible for reporting occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect safety, and company reputation.

•           Responsible to do monthly internal safety audits and planned inspections in NASPORT facilities, in coordination with operations.

•           Responsible to obtain prior approval in writing from the corporate Safety Manager, in case of any changes, amendments, or modifications of safety documents/manuals/SOPs.

•           Overall responsible to improve safety standards in accordance with Civil Aviation requirements, ISAGO standards customer airlines and any other regulatory authorities.

•           Manages, plans, organized and coordinates the daily operations of the security department.

•           Directly responsible for life cycle management of the computerized access control system including the assignment of access control levels.  Work closely with CAA, airport police, fire authorities and airline operators to ensure access control to NASPORT and clients are properly secured in line with local and international requirements and standards.

•           Ensure continuous monitoring is done of the access control areas by use of closed circuit television (CCTV) and related/ required security systems.  Ensures compliance and enforcement of applicable Airport rules, the airport security program, federal standards and other applicable publications as related to aviation and general security.

•           Contributing to the strategic directions of NASPORT and acting as an active participant’s role in delivery of the company security objectives and mission.

•           Establishing lines of communications involving management and employees at all levels.

•           Initiate special security measures during periods of increased risk and/or for critical flights and routes.

•           Comply with the written security regulations issued by the CAA and written security instructions from the Airport Security Department.

•           Comply with the air cargo security standards contained in the Airport Security Programmed and the company’s own standards.

•           Immediately initiate corrective action for any instance of non-compliance of its security program and applicable Security Directives.

•           Responsible to make all required safety department documents for ISAGO and customer airlines audit.

•           Coordinate internal and external audit programs to ensure compliance.

•           Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.

•           Ensuring that the Q/E/OH&S management system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with Standard.

•           Ensuring that reports on the performance of the Q/E/OH&S management system are presented to top management for review and used as a basis for improvement of the management system.

•           Establish Audit Criteria; assess deficiencies and suggest corrective action as needed.

•           Coordinate with licensing and accreditation bodies to ensure the Company achieves and maintains accreditations.

•           Identifying relevant quality-related training needs.

•           Responsible to comply with the applicable laws, regulations and procedures of NASPORT and customers

•           Responsible for exercising due diligence towards Health & Safety of self & others in the organization and also environmental protection.

•           Responsible for Safety & Quality of the function/ Task performed.

•           Responsible for reporting to his superiors' occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect safety, security and company reputation.

 

 

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

 

 

•           Education:                                     University  degree

 

•           Professional Experience  :       Minimum 5 years on Aviation Field

•           Competencies Required  :

-           Leadership and Training Skills – High level of Standards Knowledge and Practice Experience in the; QMS, with excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills. Familiar with MS Windows/Office Application Excellent organizational and planning skills, communication – written and verbal, time management, customer service skills.
