Description
H9 Technical are currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor with direct experience of working on major construction projects within the Energy from Waste/ Biomass sectors.
This will be on a contract basis, based in Teesside (outside of IR35), and expected to last a minimum of 12 months.
A competitive rate of pay is on offer for the right candidate, and potential start date of late April/early May.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement and management of mechanical sub-contractors on behalf of Principal contractor
- Development and implementation of sub-contracting and procurement strategies
- Negotiating and agreeing Main Contract and Subcontract T&C's.
- Tracking budgets accordingly to design and construction changes.
- Generate and agree Contract Prices, Target Costs and KPI's with clients.
- Interact with project and cost control disciplines
- Undertake any other duties required.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in quantity surveying
- Strong communication skills, able to interact at all levels
- Previous experience on EFW/Biomass project
- Specific experience of mechanical packages of work desirable
